Working out while having fun!

Variety is the spice of life and nothing provides such a variety as the changes of the seasons. When the seasons change, a whole host of new outdoor activities becomes available for families and for children. TimberGyms has products for every season and during the winter months one of the things we provide is outdoor ice rink products and accessories that can transform your backyard into a sheet of ice that’s yours to carve. Every year we prepare in advance and remind all of our past and new clients that we cannot put stakes in frozen ground and there is a window for these installations, but if you remember to get on our schedule in advance we can help to transform your backyard into a place for winter long activity. Skating works nearly every muscle group in the body, and gliding requires synchronized movement of the legs, which is important for joint flexibility. It also builds up the leg and abdominal muscles. Like any workout, skating is great for cardiovascular health – it gets blood pumping and the heart rate up. And it’s a lot of fun to glide around the ice; unlike with other types of exercise, you probably won’t even remember that you’re working out!
